Evening: We looked at Psalm 111. In this passage, the reader is called to praise the Lord. The psalmist reminds us that the right response to God is praise. He then lists many reasons it is right to praise God:
- His works are great and delightful to study
- His deeds are glorious and majestic
- His righteousness endures forever
- He makes his wonders memorable
- He is gracious and compassionate
- He provides for those who fear him
- He remembers his covenant forever
- He has demonstrated his power to his people by moving the nations
- His works are faithful and just
- His precepts are trustworthy, standing fast forever, done in faithfulness and uprightness
- He redeems his people
- He secures them with an eternal covenant
- His name is holy and awesome
