Sunday Recap 5-27-12

Morning: The sermon, "Operation: Get Your Bride," focused on Ruth 4:1-12. In this passage, the author is reminding us of the importance of having a name. Here are some principles to think on:

1. Know what you want, and pursue it.
2. Be shrewd as serpents, but innocent as doves.
3. Reject God's plan, and you will be forgotten.
4. Let all things be done in the proper order.
5. Praise and bless those of good character.

What do we do with these?

Seek first the kingdom of heaven.
Be willing to risk it all for the glory of God.
Build up others.
Ask the Redeemer to bring you under his wing.

Evening: We had our final VBS Clinic. We looked at day 5, "Amazing! God's Power Over My Life." The story focuses on Acts 5:12-42. Children will learn that they can trust the Lord to empower them to live the life to which they are called.
