Worth Remembering

But the one who rejects correction goes astray.

A Precious Truth

May this truth saturate you heart and mind:

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens
--Jesus the Son of God--
let us hold fast to the confession.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.
Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace
to help us at the proper time
(Heb. 4:14-16, HCSB).

Food for Thought: Revelation 21:3-4

Here is a something worthy of meditation:

Then I heard a loud voice from the throne:
Look! God's dwelling is with humanity,
and he will live with them.
They will be his people,
and God himself with be with them
and be their God.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Death will no longer exist;
grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer,
because the previous things have passed away (Rev. 21:3-4, HCSB).

What a glorious day that will be, when death is swallowed up by life.  I long for the day when we enter into our Savior's rest.

Food for Thought

Seen on a church sign:

Not everything that counts can be counted,
and not everything that can be counted counts.

Can you think of anything that counts, but can't be counted?  How about something that can be counted, but does count? Are you pursing the things that count?
